The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating three suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, District of Columbia. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 700 block of 6th Street, Northwest. According to police reports, First District officers responded to the scene after receiving a call regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a group of suspects had discharged a firework toward the victims. While the discharge did not result in physical injuries, the suspects pursued the victims as they attempted to leave the area. During the confrontation, one suspect brandished a firearm and demanded property from the victims. The group then searched through the belongings of all three victims. A second suspect took property from the second victim, and a third suspect took property from the third victim. The three suspects, along with other members of the larger group, fled the scene with the stolen items. Surveillance cameras captured images of the three primary suspects, which the MPD has released to the public for identification purposes. The investigating agency is the Metropolitan Police Department.
