The incident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Boutique Angelica, located at 610 E. Washington Street in Petaluma, California. According to a public notice issued by the Petaluma Police Department on June 19, the suspect entered the establishment with his face and body covered. He then produced a hammer, smashed a glass display case, and fled on foot with an unknown amount of jewelry. Employees immediately contacted 9-1-1, but a subsequent search by responding officers yielded no results, and the suspect has not been apprehended as of the latest report. The approximate financial loss remains unknown. The suspect is described as a man with a thin build who was wearing a brown baseball hat, black sunglasses, a black face covering, blue surgical gloves, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. He was also observed wearing a sweatshirt featuring the letters “G.O.A.T.” in red, blue, yellow, and white font. During the incident, the man did not speak, and no weapon other than the hammer was reported or seen. The business, also referred to as Joyeria Angelica, offers jewelry, money management options, international shipping, Spanish-language tax services, and a beauty salon.
