The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at approximately 10:05 AM at the Nusenda ATM located inside the Nusenda Credit Union, situated at 7644 Jefferson St NE in Albuquerque. According to law enforcement reports, the two subjects approached the ATM while wearing dark masks, ski goggles, and dark clothing. Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene on foot, running toward an adjacent parking lot. The FBI has classified this as a bank robbery, which carries a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years. However, authorities note that if a dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device was used during the commission of the crime, the potential sentence increases to up to 25 years.
