According to the Glendale Police Department, the suspect contacted the victim by telephone, falsely claiming that an unauthorized transaction had occurred on the victim's bank card. The individual stated that a code sent to the victim's phone was required to dispute the charge. Using this pretext, the suspect obtained the necessary code to access the victim's account and subsequently executed four large withdrawals. These transactions took place on May 5 at the Chase Bank branch located at North 57th Drive and West Glendale Avenue in Glendale. Detectives have released surveillance images of the suspect, describing him as wearing a white button-up shirt, a suit, and a tie.
