Federal authorities have designated Giovanni Vicente Mosquera Serrano, also known as 'El Viejo,' as a member of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Mosquera Serrano, 38, is a high-ranking leader of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) criminal organization, which the Trump Administration recently designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Alongside two other alleged TdA leaders, Yohan Jose Romero, 48, and Juan Gabriel Rivas Nunez, 45, Mosquera Serrano remains at large and is wanted for his role in transnational criminal activities. The gang is accused of orchestrating violence, extortion, drug trafficking, and murder across North America, South America, and Europe. While the gang's leader, Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, was killed in a U.S. operation in June 2026, and another high-ranking member, Jose Enrique Martinez Flores, was extradited from Colombia and faces terrorism-related charges in Houston, these three individuals remain fugitives. The State Department is offering rewards of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Mosquera Serrano and up to $4 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Romero. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel highlighted these ongoing efforts during a news conference in Washington, D.C., alongside U.S. Attorneys Ryan Raybould and Andrew Boutros. The administration emphasizes that the crackdown on TdA is part of a broader strategy to combat crime and illegal immigration. Authorities urge the public to contact the FBI or local field offices with any information regarding the whereabouts of these suspects. The case underscores the international scope of the TdA threat and the U.S. government's commitment to dismantling its leadership structure through both lethal operations and judicial prosecution.
