The Clovis Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at a U.S. Bank branch located at 2501 N. Prince St. in Clovis, New Mexico. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:36 p.m. after the robbery was reported. The suspect fled the premises on foot, taking an undisclosed amount of cash. According to witness accounts, the individual is a Black male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a face covering, and sunglasses. Witnesses also reported seeing an unidentified object protruding from the suspect’s waistband, though it remains unknown if the individual was armed. During a subsequent search of the vicinity, detectives recovered the white hooded sweatshirt, face covering, and sunglasses in the backyard of a residence in the 2600 block of Ross Street. Investigators have canvassed the area and collected surveillance video and images to aid in the identification and apprehension of the suspect. The Clovis Police Department has requested assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with FBI agents en route to assist with the ongoing investigation as of Thursday afternoon.
