Investigators allege that Melchur was responsible for the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Martin Higgins, which took place at approximately 10:04 p.m. on June 20 in the 900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue. Additionally, police state that Melchur was involved in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Sharef Holman, who was shot at around 10:55 p.m. on June 26 in the 1200 block of West Hunting Park Avenue. Authorities also link Melchur to the non-fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man that occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. on May 29 in the 1000 block of Lycoming Street. At this time, authorities have not released further details regarding the specific circumstances surrounding these shootings. The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is requesting that anyone with information regarding Melchur’s whereabouts contact them directly at 215-686-3334.
