Michael Cody Wilson, a 6-foot-3 white male with multiple tattoos on both arms, is being sought by the Kings Mountain Police Department after allegedly committing an armed home invasion in the Lake Montonia area on May 9. Authorities report Wilson forced entry into an occupied home around 5:55 a.m. while armed with a sawed-off shotgun, threatening and terrorizing the resident before stealing property and fleeing on foot. A multi-agency search recovered the weapon, a face mask, and gloves in a nearby wooded area, but Wilson remains at large. Law enforcement describes him as armed and dangerous, urging the public to avoid contact and instead call the Kings Mountain Police Department at 704-734-0444 with any information. K9 units and drones have been deployed to aid in the search. Wilson was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes. The incident is under active investigation.
