Marietta police are searching for Jadon Mitchell, an 18-year-old suspect who remains at large following a major human trafficking investigation. The case began on May 27 when maintenance workers discovered individuals sleeping in a vacant apartment on the 700 block of Franklin Gateway in Marietta, Georgia. Upon arrival, officers found three males and two females in the unit. The two females were identified as underage runaways who appeared to be under the influence; they were transported to a local pediatric hospital for immediate medical attention. One male, 17-year-old Keatron Jones, was found to have an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault. Another male, listed as a missing person, was reunited with his family. The initial discovery led detectives, working with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, to uncover a broader exploitation ring. Damian Downing was charged on June 18 with multiple felonies, including trafficking persons for sexual servitude. Jadon Mitchell was subsequently charged on June 29 with felony trafficking of persons for sexual servitude and felony first-degree burglary. Keatron Jones was also charged with the same offenses on June 30. Mitchell is currently not in custody, and an active arrest warrant has been issued for his apprehension. Investigators are urging the public to provide any information regarding his location. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Marietta Police Department app or by contacting Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477. For direct inquiries, the public may contact Detective Moore at 770-794-5345. Authorities have not yet disclosed the total number of victims or the duration the apartment was used for illegal activities.
