The New York City Police Department is actively searching for a suspect who remains at large following a sexual assault that occurred in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens. The incident took place on the night of June 4, 2026, when a 15-year-old boy was approached by a stranger behind a home on Austin Street, located between 75th Road and 75th Avenue. According to police reports, the suspect struck up a conversation with the victim at approximately 9:30 p.m. before committing rape. Following the attack, the perpetrator fled on foot toward 75th Road in the direction of Queens Boulevard. The victim was transported by private means to Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, where he was treated and listed in stable condition. The gender of the suspect has not yet been determined. Police describe the individual as having a medium complexion, a medium build, and long black hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, light-colored shorts, and black sandals, and was seen carrying a large handbag. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
