Police in Wayne Township, Indiana, are seeking a man wanted for stealing twelve 50-foot copper cables valued at $5,400 from a local preschool. The theft occurred on April 29 at approximately 3 p.m. at the Wayne Township Pre-School located at 1155 S. Highschool Road. The suspect was described as wearing glasses, a white beard, and a black earring in his left ear, and was carrying a brown and green backpack. Surveillance footage showed him leaving the scene in a brown or tan Chevrolet or GMC crew cab pickup with a sunroof, traveling southbound toward W. Morris Street and S. High School Road. Authorities have not confirmed if the suspect has been located. The MSD Wayne School Police Department is urging the public to provide information through Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
