Reno police are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for aggravated battery that occurred on May 28, 2026. The incident took place around 11:45 p.m. near the intersection of West and First streets in downtown Reno. According to the Reno Police Department, the suspect, described as a white male wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes, allegedly attacked the victim from behind without warning. The assault caused the victim to fall to the ground, after which the suspect allegedly kicked the individual in the head. The victim sustained serious head injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators believe two additional individuals were associated with the primary suspect. One of these associates was described as wearing a black hat and a white shirt, while the other wore a black hat and a black pullover. All three individuals were seen fleeing northbound from the scene immediately following the battery. Police note that the incident occurred in a busy area and was witnessed by numerous people. Detectives believe that additional witnesses or surveillance video may be crucial in identifying the suspect and the two associates. The public is encouraged to come forward with any information regarding the identity of the suspect or the individuals seen with him.
