Sumpter is accused of fatally shooting a co-worker during an argument inside a bar in West Philadelphia. The incident occurred on the morning of June 28, around 4 a.m., at 227 Bar and Lounge, located on the 227 block of North 52nd Street in the Carroll Park neighborhood. Police reports indicate that the altercation took place inside the establishment after it had closed for the night. The dispute reportedly stemmed from disagreements over closing duties. The victim, a man believed to be in his 40s or 50s, was transported to a local hospital where he subsequently died. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity. Following the shooting, Sumpter fled the scene. He is described by officials as standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. His last known address is listed as the 5200 block of Diamond Street in Philadelphia. The U.S. Marshals Service has announced a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of Sumpter.
