The victim, identified as a local woman who owned a hair salon in Gainesville, was shot multiple times outside and inside a convenience store located on Mountain View Road. According to investigators, the gunman, identified as the victim’s former live-in boyfriend, ambushed Keith in the store’s parking lot. Surveillance video captured by store owner Farooq Khan shows the suspect waiting in the passenger seat of Keith’s parked car. When Keith exited the store, the suspect began firing, chasing her into the business and continuing the gunfire. Keith sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died from her injuries. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Law enforcement has not yet released the suspect’s name or physical description, nor have they provided details on how he accessed the vehicle undetected. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect remains at large. Family members, including cousin Charlotte Sosebee, have remembered Keith as a sweet and kind person, urging others in unhealthy relationships to seek safety. Authorities closed Mountain View Road near Old Oakwood Road overnight for investigation purposes, but the road has since reopened.
