Authorities in Georgia are currently engaged in an active manhunt for 45-year-old Antwan Thurmond, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Tia Keith. The incident occurred at a convenience store located in Hall County, Georgia, where Keith, identified as Thurmond’s former girlfriend, was killed. Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies are leading the investigation and have determined that Thurmond is likely to have fled the immediate area, with searches extending across several metro Atlanta counties and north Georgia. Thurmond is considered armed and dangerous, and law enforcement urges the public to exercise extreme caution. Investigators have provided specific physical descriptors to assist in identifying the suspect. Thurmond is noted to have multiple tattoos, most notably a striking image of the Bible verse Romans 12:19 on his neck. Additionally, he has a lower left prosthetic leg and is known to walk with a slight limp. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Derreck Booth, emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that Thurmond should be considered a significant threat to public safety. Residents and community members in north Georgia are instructed to call 911 immediately if they spot Thurmond or have any information regarding his whereabouts.
