Philadelphia police are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a violent assault and robbery that occurred earlier this month. The incident took place on the morning of July 9, 2026, at approximately 1:55 a.m., in the parking lot of a McDonald’s located at 2901 Grays Ferry Avenue in South Philadelphia. Surveillance cameras captured the altercation, which investigators say began when the first suspect became involved in an argument with an adult male victim. The situation escalated when the second suspect struck the victim, knocking him to the ground. Police allege that the two suspects then punched the victim multiple times until a bystander intervened to stop the attack. Following the assault, the suspects allegedly took the victim’s food and began to walk away. When the victim confronted them, police state the suspects assaulted him a second time before fleeing the scene south on 29th Street from Grays Ferry Avenue. The Philadelphia Police Department has released surveillance images of the two suspects and is urging anyone who recognizes them or has information regarding the investigation to come forward. Residents are asked to contact the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or 215-686-3014. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477). Authorities have issued a strong warning to the public: anyone who encounters the suspects is urged not to approach them under any circumstances but to call 911 immediately. All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
