Worcester police are searching for a suspect who remains at large following a shooting incident that occurred early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2026. The altercation took place inside Victory Cigar Bar, located at 56 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:35 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, law enforcement provided immediate medical assistance to two victims, a man and a woman, utilizing chest seals before transporting them to a local hospital for treatment. Both victims were conscious and alert at the scene and subsequently underwent surgery; they are currently reported to be in stable condition. The suspect has not been taken into custody as of the time of this report. Despite the active search, police have stated there is no reason to believe there is an ongoing danger to the public. The exterior of the cigar bar and a portion of Shrewsbury Street were closed for approximately two hours to allow investigators to process the crime scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
