The New York Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating suspects wanted in connection with a series of five violent robberies that occurred across Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan between July 18 and July 20, 2026. The incidents, which targeted victims on subway platforms, aboard trains, and on city streets, involved the use of physical violence, knives, and simulated firearms. On July 18 at 3:30 a.m., a 22-year-old man was punched and had water thrown at him by three individuals attempting to steal his phone near the DeKalb Avenue subway station. On July 20, the pattern of aggression continued with multiple incidents. At 10:10 a.m., a food vendor near Court Street and Joralemon Street had his gratuity jar grabbed; the suspect displayed a knife before fleeing. Shortly after, at 10:30 a.m., a 29-year-old man on the southbound R train platform at Whitehall Street station had his phone snatched by three individuals who simulated a firearm threat. Later that afternoon, at 1:50 p.m., two individuals targeted a 15-year-old and a 62-year-old on a northbound B train at DeKalb station. The 62-year-old intervened to protect the teenager and was punched multiple times, resulting in pain and swelling. Finally, at 6:50 p.m., a 27-year-old woman near Willoughby Street and Jay Street had her phone, valued at approximately $400, snatched by one of six individuals, requiring EMS treatment for minor injuries. The NYPD is urging anyone with information regarding these suspects or their whereabouts to come forward. Authorities are particularly interested in identifying the groups involved in these coordinated attacks.
