The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred following a hit-and-run crash in Littleton, Colorado. The incident took place on Saturday night, July 25, 2026. According to law enforcement reports, officers were initially dispatched around 10:28 p.m. to a scene near South Santa Fe Drive and West Belleview Avenue regarding a hit-and-run collision. The suspect was driving a blue Ford F-150 and struck multiple vehicles before fleeing the area. One of the victims involved in the crash, driving a white BMW SUV, attempted to follow the suspect vehicle. Dispatch advised the driver to cease pursuit, and a Be on the Lookout alert was issued for the blue truck. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 10:32 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call from the driver of the blue F-150 reporting that he had been shot at during the incident. The passenger in the truck sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Andrew Bott of Littleton, was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Investigators recently executed a search warrant at a residence in Highlands Ranch, taking two individuals into custody for questioning; both were subsequently released pending further investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who was driving along West Bowles Avenue between South Santa Fe Drive and Grant Ranch Boulevard between 10:25 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. on Saturday to review dash camera footage for potential evidence. Residents and business owners in the vicinity are also asked to check security video from that timeframe.
