Authorities in Arkansas are searching for a suspect after Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 41, were killed while hiking at Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday, July 26. The couple, who had recently moved to the area from another state, were accompanied by their two young daughters, aged 7 and 9, at the time of the attack. The children were not injured and are currently safe with family members. Arkansas State Police confirmed that the parents were attacked, though specific details regarding the cause of death are still being determined. A motive for the killings has not yet been released. The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark pants, a long-sleeved shirt rolled up to his shoulders, a dark ballcap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was also carrying a black backpack. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect driving away from the park exit in a black, four-door sedan, which may be a Mazda. Police note that the vehicle’s license plate was covered with electrical or duct tape. The incident occurred in a remote and rugged area of the park located approximately 25 miles south of Fayetteville, near the Oklahoma border, where cellphone service is unavailable. The Arkansas State Police are urging anyone who visited Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday to review their photos, video, or GoPro footage for any images of the suspect.
