Authorities in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, have successfully apprehended one of two murder suspects who escaped from the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center earlier this week, but the search for the second suspect remains active. Noah Roush, 22, was taken into custody on Monday after law enforcement responded to a 911 call regarding a person matching his description inside an abandoned residence in Pine Bluff. Upon arrival, officers observed Roush attempting to flee on foot, but he was quickly subdued and transferred back to the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center. Roush was originally held on probable cause for residential burglary and theft of property, and is also a suspect in a homicide. While Roush is now in custody, Jatonia Bryant, 23, remains at large. Bryant was being detained on probable cause for capital murder at the time of the escape. Law enforcement officials have described both individuals as dangerous and have urged the public to avoid approaching them and to contact authorities instead. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with the Pine Bluff Police Department Vice and Narcotics unit, the Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Correction to locate Bryant. A reward of $2,500 has been offered for information leading to Bryant's arrest. The escape occurred within 48 hours of the detainees being reported missing from the facility on Monday. Investigators are continuing their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward. This ongoing manhunt highlights the security concerns following the breach at the local detention center, with multiple agencies working in cooperation to ensure public safety and bring the fugitive to justice.
