Austin Police have arrested two suspects believed to be responsible for a series of random shootings across south Austin, Texas, but one suspect remains at large in the nearby Manor area. The incident, which spanned from late Saturday into Sunday, involved multiple service calls and resulted in four people being shot. One victim sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other three suffered non-life-threatening wounds. The suspects targeted apartment buildings and fire stations, damaging a fire truck and stealing four vehicles during their spree. Police Chief Lisa Davis described the shootings as random in nature, with no identified motive at this time. Although two individuals are now in custody, authorities are actively searching for a third suspect, described earlier as a Hispanic male in his late teens. Residents in the Manor area are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Mayor Kirk Watson thanked the public for their cooperation and adherence to alert notices during the crisis. The shelter-in-place order for south Austin has been lifted, but caution is advised regarding the suspected vehicles: a black Honda Accord, a gold Honda, and a white Nissan Altima. Police warn the public not to approach these vehicles and to secure personal vehicles by not leaving keys or key fobs inside. The identities of the arrested suspects have not been released, and it remains unclear which of the apprehended individuals correspond to the initial descriptions provided by law enforcement.
