Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Miranda Chase, a Broken Arrow woman, following a fatal hit-and-run incident in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of July 27 near the intersection of 36th Street North and Lewis. Investigators state that Chase struck Kenneth Garciah Young, a man traveling in a motorized wheelchair, causing him to be thrown more than 38 feet from the point of impact. A witness discovered Young at the scene and administered CPR before he was transported to St. John Hospital, where he died less than an hour later. Although Chase fled the scene, pieces of her vehicle were left behind. Her roommate contacted police after hearing news reports, revealing that Chase had been acting strangely. Upon confrontation, Chase claimed someone else hit her car. A subsequent search warrant at Chase's residence led to the discovery of removed bumper sections, which her son admitted to taking to repair the vehicle. All evidence was recovered and matched the debris at the crash site. Chase is now facing three criminal counts: leaving the scene of an accident involving death, destroying evidence, and operating a vehicle with an expired or improper tag or decal.
