After dropping them off near Eighth Street and Cleveland Avenue, the victim exited her vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the male suspect returned, entered the backseat, and climbed into the driver’s seat to start the car. The victim attempted to stop the theft by standing on the running board and grabbing the steering wheel, but the suspect managed to shift the vehicle into gear and drive away. The victim fell to the ground during the struggle, sustaining minor injuries, though she did not require hospitalization. Police located the stolen vehicle a short time later just a few blocks from the scene. Sgt. Aaron Benson confirmed that no suspects have been located or arrested in connection with the vehicle theft. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant.
