Phoenix police are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for aggravated assault following a shooting incident that occurred on May 26. The crime took place at approximately 2 a.m. near a Circle K store located at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, specifically in the vicinity of 2300 West Bethany Home Road. According to Detective Mike Fischer, the victim, a man riding a bicycle, was shot in the leg after two suspects attempted to steal his bike. When the suspects were unable to secure the bicycle, the shooter fired a handgun at the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, but authorities confirmed the injury was non-life-threatening as the bullet did not strike an artery. The suspect is described as a young man in his 20s, possibly Hispanic. A second young Hispanic male was present during the incident but is not the primary subject of the current warrant. The victim reported that he did not know either individual, and the encounter began as an attempted robbery. Investigators emphasize that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, noting that this may not be his first offense.
