The Twin Falls Police Department is actively seeking Anthony Alvarez, a 36-year-old man who remains at large following a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday evening. According to police reports, the incident took place around 8:44 p.m. on the 300 block of Trotter Drive in Twin Falls, Idaho. Authorities state that the event began with an altercation at a residence earlier in the day. Alvarez allegedly returned to the location and began firing rounds at the home. The occupant of the residence exited the property and returned fire. Following the exchange of gunfire, Alvarez fled the scene. No injuries were reported in connection with this specific incident. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Alvarez on charges of aggravated assault and firing a weapon into an occupied dwelling. Twin Falls Police Lt. Steven Gassert has emphasized that Alvarez is considered armed and dangerous and urges the public not to approach or contact him directly. Instead, anyone with information regarding his location or who spots him is instructed to contact local law enforcement in the area where he is seen or reach out to the Twin Falls Police Department. Investigators believe Alvarez may be attempting to flee to Washington state. Lt. Gassert acknowledged the significant strain the day's events placed on department resources, noting that the shooting occurred on the same day as a separate mass shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant. He clarified that the two incidents are completely unrelated and that the homeowner who returned fire has not been charged with any crime.
