The Midland County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with Midland Crime Stoppers, is actively seeking a suspect wanted for aggravated robbery. The incident occurred on the morning of July 2, 2026, in Midland, Texas. Deputies responded to the 3700 block of East County Road 160 after reports of a robbery in progress. According to law enforcement, a Hispanic male suspect entered a store armed with a rifle. The individual was described as wearing a ski mask, a gray shirt, and tan pants. Upon entering, the suspect demanded money from the store owner. The situation escalated when the suspect began firing multiple rounds into the floor of the store and directly at the owner. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the premises, continuing to fire rounds toward the building as he escaped. He was last seen leaving the scene in a white Chevrolet Silverado flatbed truck. The suspect remains at large, and authorities are urging the public to assist in locating him. Midland Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for the first tip that leads to an arrest, the filing of charges, or the case being cleared.
