According to officials, Jones was placed under arrest by court security officers after it was determined that he had failed to meet one or more conditions of his bond. Prior to this event, Jones had been arrested on a driving under the influence charge and was released after posting a $1,000 bond. Immediately following his arrest, Jones fled the courtroom and exited the area in a gray 2024 Nissan Altima with dark-tinted windows. The vehicle bore Tennessee license plate BVX-7306. Although the automobile has since been recovered at an address in Cordova, Tennessee, Jones himself has not been located.
