Hawaii authorities are searching for two suspects who remain at large following an armed robbery that took place early Monday morning at a 7-Eleven in Waipahu. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. when a 62-year-old man was preparing to depart the store on his yellow moped. According to police reports, the victim was approached by two men, one of whom demanded the moped and struck the 62-year-old man with a pipe. During the struggle, the victim fell to the ground. While the victim was incapacitated, the second suspect seized the yellow moped and fled the scene traveling westbound on Farrington Highway. The first suspect escaped on foot in the same direction. No arrests have been made as of the time of this report, and the investigation remains ongoing. The investigating agency is urging the public to remain vigilant and assist in the capture of the suspects.
