Chicago police have released photographs of an individual sought in connection with a series of criminal incidents, including car burglaries and an armed robbery, that occurred in the Humboldt Park neighborhood during June and July of 2026. The suspect is described as a person seen walking through the area with a small dog. According to law enforcement, the individual was observed checking car door handles and looking inside vehicles before either breaking a window or opening an unlocked door to remove property. In one specific incident, the suspect robbed a victim while armed with a knife as the victim was parking. The alleged crimes took place across several locations, including the 4400 and 4200 blocks of West Cortez Street on June 22 and June 29, the 1100 block of North Keeler Avenue on July 9 and July 15, and the 4100 block of West Thomas Street on July 23. Investigators are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspect.
