Authorities in Wakulla County, Florida, are actively searching for Joseph Ronnie Raker, who is wanted in connection with the double homicide of John William Luper III and his girlfriend, Rebecca Lyn Thomas. The victims, who were first cousins, were found dead last weekend at a residence located at 740 Otter Creek Road, west of the Medart community. Both individuals died from multiple gunshot wounds, and a family pit bull was also discovered inside the home. The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Raker remains at large and is considered a danger to the community. As the investigation continues, friends and family of the victims have gathered at the Young Family Funeral Home at Harvey Young Chapel to mourn their loss. Marilyn Paul, Luper’s niece, expressed the family’s distress, stating that they are unable to fully grieve while the killer remains free. In response to the tragedy, the family has established a new Facebook page titled 'Justice For John' to facilitate the collection of anonymous tips. The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. Tips can be reported directly to the sheriff’s office or through Crime Solvers by calling 850-574-TIPS or visiting bbcrimesolvers.org online. The community is being asked to assist law enforcement in locating Raker to bring closure to the victims' families and ensure public safety.
