Irving Police, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada. The 55-year-old suspect is currently at large and wanted on capital murder charges. Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in locating Paguada, who is also known by the alias Hector Matute. The reward was approved during a press conference held at the Irving Police Department Criminal Justice Center, located at 305 N. O’Connor Rd. Paguada is wanted in connection with two homicides that took place in Irving in January 2024. The victims were identified as 55-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez and her daughter, 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina. Both women were shot to death on Friday, January 19, 2024, in the 2000 block of West Irving Boulevard at the Park Springs Apartments. According to police reports, the fatal shooting occurred after Paguada and Bolanos Medina, who were in a relationship, had broken up one week prior to the incident. Tragically, Bolanos Medina's five-year-old son witnessed the shootings. While Paguada remains at large, two women have been arrested and charged with tampering with or fabricating evidence related to the deaths. Law enforcement states that these individuals assisted Paguada in avoiding arrest and interfered with the investigation. Investigators urge the public to remain vigilant and to call 9-1-1 immediately if they have any information regarding Paguada's whereabouts. Authorities explicitly warn civilians not to approach or attempt to contact the suspect directly, emphasizing that he is considered dangerous. The FBI and Irving Police Department continue to investigate the case and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
