Shreveport Police detectives are actively seeking Timothy Thomas in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged residential contractor fraud. According to the Shreveport Police Department, Thomas entered into a contract with two victims on August 22, 2024, to construct a residence. The agreement stipulated a total cost of approximately $444,000 for the project. Investigators report that Thomas began work on the home and, over a period of time, received more than $310,000 in payments from the victims. As the construction progressed, the victims reportedly noticed significant discrepancies and raised concerns regarding the manner and quality of the work being performed. These concerns ultimately led the victims to report the matter to authorities. During the investigation, detectives contacted the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors to verify Thomas’s credentials. They discovered that Thomas’s residential contractor license had expired in August 2020, roughly four years prior to the date of the contract. Consequently, Thomas is now wanted in connection with the Residential Contractor Fraud investigation. The Shreveport Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Timothy Thomas to contact them directly. Additionally, the public is encouraged to reach out to Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers with any relevant tips. Investigators are also asking anyone who believes they may have had similar dealings with Thomas to contact the department so that further inquiries can be made. The case remains open as authorities continue their search for the suspect.
