Philadelphia police have identified 35-year-old Shariff Perry as the suspect wanted in connection with a deadly double shooting that occurred in North Philadelphia. The incident took place on Sunday, August 9, at approximately 11:49 p.m., on the 2800 block of North 24th Street. According to law enforcement reports, the shooting resulted in the death of 61-year-old Michelle Wilson and left a 67-year-old man injured with multiple gunshot wounds. Police have stated that the injured man is expected to survive. Surveillance video obtained by NBC10 captures the moment a man, described as wearing a baseball cap and a medical mask, approaches the scene. The footage shows the individual producing what appears to be a handgun from a bag before concealing it inside his coat as he walks along the sidewalk. Investigators, including Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace, have noted initial uncertainty regarding whether the victims were the intended targets or if they were caught in crossfire meant for another individual. Following the investigation, Perry has been formally charged with murder and related offenses. He remains at large.
