The incident occurred on Monday, August 10, 2026, in the borough of Queens, New York. According to police reports, the 24-year-old victim was performing duties in a public bathroom on the mezzanine level of the station at approximately 12:10 p.m. when the suspect entered the facility. After the worker informed the man that the restroom was temporarily closed, a verbal dispute escalated into physical violence. The suspect punched the woman in the stomach and arm, causing significant pain. Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported by emergency medical services to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
