This case is separate from another stabbing that occurred nearly an hour later on Orange Street at 3:26 p.m. In that incident, which stemmed from a domestic dispute, an adult woman also died from her wounds. However, a suspect in the Orange Street case is already in custody, and charges are pending. The New Haven Police Department initially reported that neither injury appeared life-threatening, but later confirmed that both victims had succumbed to their injuries by Wednesday evening.
