Cedar Falls Police have issued an arrest warrant for Dana Dial, a woman accused of violating the terms of her release while facing serious criminal charges. Dial was originally arrested in December 2025 following an investigation into the severe abuse of a six-month-old infant. During the incident, medical staff discovered that the child had suffered a spinal fracture, broken ribs, and a brain bleed. Alongside Dial, Deaundre Torres was also charged in connection with the investigation. Although Dial was released after posting bond, she was required to maintain contact with the Department of Corrections and update them on her living situation. Authorities state that Dial violated these conditions by departing from the hotel where she was staying without notifying officials. Since her departure, officers have not seen Dial for over a week, prompting the issuance of the current arrest warrant.
