The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at approximately 2:56 p.m. at 911 East Cesar Chavez Street. According to reports from the Austin Police Department, an adult male entered the business, committed the robbery, and subsequently fled the scene on foot. Investigators with APD's Robbery Unit have determined that the same individual is believed to have committed a separate theft at the identical location ten days prior to the July 28 incident, suggesting a pattern of criminal activity at the site. The suspect is described as a Black male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. Physical characteristics include an athletic build and short, black hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt featuring a white and pink logo on the back, gray pants, red Nike Foamposite shoes, and carrying a gray and black backpack. Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
