Lancaster Township police are actively searching for Elias Ricardo Brown, a 29-year-old man from Leola, Pennsylvania, who is wanted on multiple serious criminal charges. Brown is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to be a self-described gang affiliate known to carry firearms. Authorities advise the public not to approach him but to contact law enforcement immediately if he is spotted. The suspect is wanted in connection with a violent incident that occurred late on July 27 at an apartment on Jennings Drive in Lancaster Township. According to police reports, Brown engaged in a physical altercation with a female victim following a dispute over text messages. During the attack, Brown struck the woman in the ear, causing temporary hearing loss, and attempted to strangle her. He then struck her multiple times with a 10-pound dumbbell, causing her to lose consciousness and suffer a black eye. To prevent the victim from leaving or calling for help, Brown allegedly took her two cell phones and house keys. The victim managed to retrieve her phones on July 29 and contacted police the following day. She reported that Brown had left the apartment on the 29th and had not returned. The victim sustained injuries including a possible ruptured eardrum and a concussion, for which she was treated at Lancaster General Hospital. Police note that Brown suffered cuts on two fingers from a pocketknife the victim used in self-defense. Brown faces a dozen charges, including kidnapping, multiple counts of assault, and strangulation. This is not his first encounter with the legal system; in 2018, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and robbery related to an armed robbery in Lancaster city, resulting in a sentence of six to 12 years in state prison.
