Philadelphia police are searching for multiple suspects involved in an armed robbery and shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in North Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 4100 block of Germantown Avenue. According to authorities, the event began when four unidentified male suspects approached the victim's cousin and robbed him of a Rolex watch valued at approximately $25,000. As the robbery unfolded, a fifth suspect, who was on a bicycle, approached the victim and aimed a handgun at him. The victim, a 25-year-old man who holds a valid license to carry a firearm, drew his own weapon in an attempt to defend himself and his cousin. However, police report that the victim's firearm malfunctioned, preventing him from returning fire. He was subsequently shot in the leg by the suspect on the bicycle. Following the shooting, all suspects fled the scene, heading eastbound on Juniata Street. The victim was discovered by responding officers and immediately transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large. Authorities are actively investigating the case and are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. Police are specifically asking for surveillance footage from the area of Germantown Avenue and Juniata Street.
