The Madison Police Department is actively searching for a male suspect wanted in connection with two separate armed robberies that occurred at local gas stations. The incidents took place on July 30, 2026, and August 16, 2026. During both events, the suspect entered the establishments carrying a long gun, pointed the weapon at the clerks, and demanded that cash from the registers be placed into a bag before fleeing the scene. The robberies occurred at a Mobil gas station located at 901 S. Gammon Road and a Citgo gas station at 6702 Mineral Point Road. According to police reports, the suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt and had a white handkerchief covering his face. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during either incident. Authorities have issued a statewide alert urging the public to remain vigilant and assist in the manhunt.
