Chicago police have released updated photographs of a suspect wanted in connection with a serious hit-and-run incident that occurred on the Lakefront Trail. The suspect is described as a male individual riding a yellow dirt bike. According to the Chicago Police Department, the rider was last seen in the vicinity of Milwaukee and Chicago avenues. The incident took place on July 20 at approximately 3:47 p.m. near 1400 North Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. At the time of the crash, a 45-year-old woman was riding her bicycle on the trail when she was struck by the dirt bike. Authorities report that the victim sustained catastrophic injuries as a result of the collision. Following the impact, the rider fled the scene. The newly released images depict the suspect wearing a black ski mask and a black shirt while operating the vehicle. Police are urging the public to review the images and come forward with any information that could assist in the identification and apprehension of the suspect. Investigators from the Major Accident Investigation Unit are leading the inquiry.
