The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Andrew Roy Harris, 36, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Nicole Karastury Elliott, 35. The incident occurred on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Waverly Hall, Georgia. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call regarding an unresponsive woman at a residence on the 9300 block of Georgia Highway 208 at approximately 12:37 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Elliott deceased in the front yard from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound. Investigators state that Elliott and Harris had been involved in a domestic dispute starting around 10:04 a.m. on the same day. During the altercation, Elliott was fatally shot. Following the incident, Harris fled the scene. He is believed to have traveled on foot to Phenix City, Alabama, where he was last seen near the America’s Best Value Inn located close to the U.S. Highway 280 Bypass. Harris is currently wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted by processing the crime scene, while the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division handled the follow-up investigation. Authorities have issued a public warning advising citizens not to approach Harris if he is spotted. The investigation remains active, and officials note that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
