Philadelphia police are actively searching for a suspect who terrorized multiple individuals in the Center City area early last Wednesday morning. The incident began around 5:18 a.m. and lasted nearly 20 minutes, during which the individual harassed and attempted to antagonize at least six people. The suspect was described as wearing a distinctive Chucky doll-style Halloween face mask. In one particularly alarming encounter captured on surveillance video, the suspect chased a female jogger near City Hall, allegedly asking her, "Are you ready to die?" The victim fled screaming, sustaining a leg injury during the ordeal. According to Philadelphia Police Captain Jason Smith, the suspect targeted both men and women, appearing to film the interactions with a cellphone held in his left hand for his own purposes. Police are currently scouring social media platforms for any related material that could aid in identification. The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and estimated to be between the ages of 16 and 20. He was briefly seen pulling down his white mask, exposing part of his face. Authorities believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Once apprehended, the suspect faces multiple charges, including terroristic threats, harassment, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and intimidation. Police are urging anyone who was victimized by this individual or has information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Philadelphia Police Department immediately.
