Savannah Police are actively searching for two suspects at large following a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, near Georgia Southern University. Authorities last spotted the suspects in the vicinity of the Joseph Landings Apartment Complex, located at 12350 Mercy Blvd. The direction of travel for the suspects is currently unknown. A significant law enforcement presence, including the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, and Savannah-Chatham County Public School Board of Education Police, has been deployed to the area. Police have cordoned off the scene with tape and are urging the public to avoid the area. Investigators are actively seeking tips from the community to locate the suspects and bring them to justice.
