Boston police have identified a 17-year-old suspect wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred at Boston's South Station. The suspect is Marico Levy, a resident of Aubrey, Texas. He is described as being 5-foot-7 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities are actively searching for Levy, who is wanted on a murder charge related to the death of 29-year-old Latavius Owens of Memphis, Tennessee. The incident took place last week, specifically on a Wednesday evening, when a fight broke out on an escalator leading to an exit at the busy transit hub. According to police, the altercation resulted in Owens being stabbed. MBTA Transit Police responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m. and found Owens suffering from a stab wound. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead. Surveillance images of Levy have been released by the MBTA Transit Police, who are urging the public to assist in locating him. Investigators have not yet disclosed where they believe Levy might be or the specific details of how he was identified as the suspect. The area around the escalator was taped off by investigators, and blood was visible at the scene. The Boston Police Department and MBTA Transit Police are jointly investigating the homicide.
