In a renewed effort to bring closure to the family, Capital Region Crimestoppers has announced a temporary doubling of the reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment. For a 48-hour period following the airing of this report, anonymous tips providing information that results in the identification of the suspect or the recovery of the murder weapon will be eligible for a $5,000 reward. Jonny Dunnam, executive director of Capital Region Crimestoppers, emphasized the senseless nature of the loss and the importance of community assistance in solving the crime. Dunnam assured potential informants that their identities will remain confidential and that they will not be required to testify in court. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crimestoppers website, the P3 app, or by calling 344-STOP. The victim’s mother, Liz Robinson, has become an advocate for other grieving families, founding an organization called Change to provide support and resources to those who have lost loved ones to violence. She continues to honor Louis’s memory, noting his passion for music and his role as a helper within the family. Authorities are urging anyone with knowledge regarding the shooting to come forward, regardless of how minor the information may seem. The investigation remains active, and the doubling of the reward is intended to generate new leads and identify the individual responsible for the murder. The Baton Rouge Police Department and Crimestoppers are jointly seeking public assistance to resolve this decades-old case.
