Worcester Police are conducting an active manhunt for Karen Solomon, a 58-year-old white female with dark brown hair and brown eyes, who is considered armed and dangerous. The search began early Tuesday morning after officers responded to a call at the couple's residence on Wildwood Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the body of a deceased male, who was later identified as Kurt Solomon, an off-duty Worcester Police officer and Karen's husband. Karen Solomon remains at large and is presumed to be involved in a domestic violence incident that resulted in the officer's death. The Worcester County District Attorney's office has confirmed that multiple agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police, U.S. Marshals, and Homeland Security, are assisting in the search with resources such as helicopters and K-9 units. Solomon is described as wearing a light-colored t-shirt, shorts, and open-toed shoes, with her hair in a low ponytail. She is a prominent figure in the law enforcement community, having founded the nonprofit First H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma among first responders and co-founded Blue H.E.L.P. to honor officers who died by suicide. The Worcester Police Department has released updated video and photographs of Solomon and is urging the public to remain vigilant.
