According to police reports, Sellers was critically wounded during the shooting and subsequently died from her injuries on August 12, 2026. Hursey is currently at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and not to approach the suspect under any circumstances. To assist in the apprehension of Hursey, Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $8,000 for information leading to an arrest. Additionally, the U.S. Marshals Service has contributed an extra $3,500, bringing the total reward for information leading to an arrest to $11,500.
