Ewing is considered armed and dangerous and remains at large as of Friday, August 21, 2026. The suspect has an active arrest warrant for the fatal shooting that occurred at Showalter Park in Century, Florida, on August 13, 2026. According to Sheriff Simmons, the incident began when seven or eight individuals gathered for a fistfight. During the altercation, an individual left the crowd, retrieved a firearm, and fired multiple shots into the victim, resulting in death. A second person sustained a non-life-threatening leg injury during the shooting. Although Ewing is a juvenile, law enforcement treats the case with the severity of an adult first-degree murder charge.
